SouthStar’s Glenn McGehee to talk ‘performance, persistence and perseverance’ at June 10 YP luncheon

SouthStar Principal and President Glenn McGehee will be the featured guest at the Williamson, Inc. Young Professionals FOCUS Luncheon on Wed., June 10. “Professional Performance Fueled by Persistence and Perseverance” is the title of McGehee’s talk, in which he will use his personal career successes to advise young professionals on how to persevere through the business environment. The event is presented by Saint Thomas Health and will be held at Spark: Lipscomb’s Idea Center, 3252 Aspen Grove Drive, Suite 9 in Franklin.

Glenn McGehee’s experience in commercial real estate development as an owner and developer dates back to 1994 with projects that include a 23-acre recreation and golf learning facility in Nashville, Tennessee as well as residential property development.  In 2001, McGehee joined the Shopping Center Group, LLC, where he served as a tenant real estate representative for several major national tenants, including Ross Dress for Less, Borders Books, AT&T, Sally Beauty Supply and others, and handled land acquisition for developments for tenants such as Kohl’s and other national anchor stores. He was promoted to the company’s board of directors and to the position of president of operations for the Tennessee division.  In 2004, McGehee was recruited by Centex Homes-Nashville Division to consult and oversee all land acquisition, land planning and entitlement. To date, he has conceived and executed five major property residential developments consisting of over 1,500 lots with a combined area of 859 acres and land purchases of more than $30 million.
