Through ACT Prep, students are working on achieving the best possible scores so that they can qualify for more merit-based scholarships. Hollie mentioned that just a two-point increase on the ACT can open the door to a handful of more scholarship opportunities.

Once a student has decided on a ‘dream school’, Hollie makes sure to fully understand what that college is looking for in an applicant. Through knowing the essay questions on the application to knowing which scholarship opportunities are available, Hollie goes the extra mile to get her student accepted with as much financial support as possible to help alleviate any stress from the family.

Another unique aspect of Class 101 Nashville is Hollie’s team approach. Hollie works with the family, high school guidance counselors, teachers, college admission faculty, coaches and more to ensure that the student has as many people and resources to use as possible.

Hollie’s advice for families with high school aged children, get the ball rolling early. Start visiting as many different college campuses as you can to get students comfortable with where they will be in a few years. Also, never cross a college off the list because of cost.
