On November 15 Southwest Airlines announced new daily nonstop flights from Nashville to Burbank and San Jose, California beginning June 9, 2019. Also, they will begin a seasonal Sunday only flight from Nashville to Omaha on June 9, 2019. With this investment announcement, Southwest will offer its biggest schedule ever from Music City.
Additionally, Southwest will add frequency during the week in the following markets beginning June 10, 2019: Boston (4 per day), Detroit (3 per day), Las Vegas (4 per day), Minneapolis (2 per day), San Diego (3 per day) and St. Louis (4 per day).
With the new routes and frequency increases listed above, Southwest will offer 124 departures a day on weekdays and 133 departures on Sundays. These flights are a result of the demand they’re seeing from customers who are asking for more options to get to the places that matter most in their lives. As Nashville’s economy thrives, they want to do what they can to be the region’s top choice for air travel. With the extension, their bookable flight schedule is now open through August 5, 2019.
On behalf of the entire Southwest Airlines family in Nashville and around the network, they thank you for your support over the years. They are proud to be Nashville’s Hometown Carrier and look forward to seeing you onboard soon.
