Celebrating 30 years of the Women’s Business Ownership Act Legislation, H.R. 5050
On November 30, 2018, the Lady Like Leaders Women’s Symposium will be held at Maggiano’s Little Italy. The event is developed intentionally for Women Business Owners, Leaders, and Sales Professionals.
Did you know until 1988 women couldn’t get a business loan without a man cosigning for them?
This event will celebrate the 20th anniversary of H.R. 5050, one of the most important pieces of legislation for women business owners. Also known as the Women’s Business Ownership Act, which was signed into law by President Ronald Reagan on October 25, 1988.
Since then, women have been navigating the business world on their own, learning business strategies from a masculine playbook. Women are motivated by different things, their work rewards them in different ways, and they handle conflict differently than men. Female-focused business training has been virtually non-existent…until now. “It’s high time we give women a more modern set of business tools.” – Diane Michel
Lady Like Leaders Founders and Keynote Speakers, Diane Michel & Janna Landry have decades of experience in building successful businesses. They are filling this sizable gap, equipping women with the real-world and practical tactics not taught in business school.
Diane & Janna’s Topics:
- How to lead gracefully
- Hot to not look like a “Hot Mess”
- Hot to “Inspire”, not manage people
- How to attract vs. chase clientele
- How to dazzle your listener
- How to deliver with confidence
- How to bounce back beautifully
- How to take a seat at the men’s table
Popular guest speakers, Mark Stoner & Judith Hill, will cover Failing Forward, the failures necessary for success, Your Image & Your Bottom line, and the secrets to flattering posing in front of a camera. The event will include a light breakfast, gourmet lunch, vendor exhibits, and more!
