BRENTWOOD, TN – On Saturday, May 18, 2019 Leadership Brentwood alumni participated in cleaning up a portion of Franklin Road, between Murray Lane and Concord Road, through Brentwood’s Adopt-A-Mile Program.
The Adopt-A-Mile Program began around 1997 and has created an opportunity for individuals and groups to take an active role in preserving and protecting Brentwood’s natural environment. You can learn more about the Adopt-A-Mile program at www.brentwoodtn.gov/departments/public-works/adopt-a-mile.
Leadership Brentwood Alumni volunteer each spring and fall in this effort to keep Brentwood beautiful.
“Our alumni have enjoyed partnering with Brentwood’s Adopt-A-Mile Program for the past 15 years and constantly look forward to every clean-up day,” said Lynn Tucker, Director of the Williamson County Chamber Foundation. “It is a great way for our alumni to give back to the community after they have graduated from Leadership Brentwood and completed their service projects.”
Leadership Brentwood, sponsored by the Williamson County Chamber Foundation, provides an educational format that promotes the free exchange of ideas and fosters an attitude of increased participation and commitment within the community. The purpose is to identify and educate present and future leaders and integrate them into the Brentwood community.
Leadership Brentwood is currently accepting applications for the Class of 2020. To apply before June 7, please head to www.williamsonchamber.com/leadership-programs/ or contact Lynn Tucker atlynn@williamsonchamber.com.
