A health care software developer plans to move to Brentwood from SoBro with plans to add 30 people to its local workforce in the next two years.

PointClear Solutions, which is headquartered in Atlanta, has run an office on Second Avenue South since 2009 and now has about 20 people based there. The company plans to move on April 1 into 12,000 square feet of Boyle Nashville’s new Brentwood Commons III building off Old Hickory Boulevard at Interstate 65 and will now have its local operation serve as its primary development hub.

“We’re expanding our presence in Nashville because of the quality and quantity of tech talent and the large concentration of healthcare and healthcare IT companies,” David Karabinos said in a statement. “Our new Innovation and Development Center will be a place where many of our talented UX designers, developers, and solution managers will collaborate daily to create leading-edge solutions to critical challenges facing the healthcare industry.”

Pointclear, which also runs offices in Birmingham and New York City, counts among its clients McKesson, Change Healthcare and the Centers for Disease Control. The company develops both patient- and consumer-facing applications as well as enterprise products for population health management and other uses.

Brentwood Commons III is a five-story, 130,000-square-foot building that is scheduled for completion next month. (See images in the gallery above.) Other companies that have committed to taking space there are Universal Health Services and Bell & Associates Construction.
