The Food Biz: Mill Creek taproom to open

Nolensville-based Mill Creek Brewing Co. will opens its taproom on Friday, Feb. 10.

The brewery is located at 2008 B Johnson Industrial Blvd.

The new taproom hours are Thursday and Friday 4-9 p.m. and Saturday 12-9 p.m.

Pints and growlers-to-go will be available in the taproom, which is part of the 27,000-square-foot brewery.

Subculture Urban Cuisine & Café, the recent winner of the Nashville Scene’s Hot Chicken Week, will have a permanent food truck located inside the taproom, serving burgers and Cuban sandwiches, among other fare.

The taproom will offer 16-ounce pints of Mill Creek’s four flagship beers: Lil Darlin’, Silo, Landmark, and Woodshed, as well as its Winter Seasonal, Wishing Well.

The taproom provides an up-close view of the entire brewery production area and equipment, the release notes.

Martin’s Bar-B-Que eyes Spring Hill for fifth locale

Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint will soon open in Spring Hill, the Nashville-based entity’s fifth Middle Tennessee location, Nashville Business Journal reports.

Pit master and founder Pat Martin told NBJ the restaurant will operate from 4,500 square feet of space in Shoppes at Springhill, which Nashville-based Fresh Hospitality owns.

Martin has been a partner with Fresh Hospitality partners since 2010, NBJ reports.
