Nashville International Airport officials announced Monday Delta Air Lines will begin twice daily nonstop service to Raleigh, with service to begin June 12.

Tickets are on sale now, according to a release.

BNA also offers three daily flights to Raleigh via Southwest Airlines.

Today’s announcement follows Delta’s announcement in mid-January that it would connect BNA and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport year-round with a daily flight. (Read more here.)

“The new year continues to bring great new announcements, this time from Delta Air Lines, launching yet another route out of BNA this summer,” Rob Wigington, president and CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, said in the release. “This twice daily service is great news for Nashville, especially for our business community heading to the Triangle area on day trips, as it provides more options in both directions. We appreciate Delta Air Lines’ continued confidence in our airport and our community.”

BNA is served by 12 airlines and offers 440 daily flights. Nashville International Airport provides nonstop air service to more than 50 destinations.
