The early voting period for the Brentwood municipal election ended on Thursday with a total of 2,850 ballots cast, or 9 percent of the eligible registered city voters.

This percentage of early voting turnout exceeds the past two municipal elections in 2017 (8.3 percent) and in 2015 (8.9 percent).

“We had a strong finish to early voting on the last day with just over 400 ballots cast,” said Chad Gray, Williamson County administrator of elections. “Now, voters have one more opportunity to have their voices heard by casting a ballot on Election Day, May 7.”

The Williamson County Election Commission will conduct the City of Brentwood Municipal Election on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at nine Election Day polling locations.

Voters will choose among nine candidates seeking election to four positions on the Brentwood City Commission. Those who are elected will serve four-year terms.

The deadline to register to vote for this election was Monday, April 8, 2019.

Polls are open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at designated election day polling places. For more information, call the Election Commission at (615) 790-5711 or visit the GOVOTE TN voter app.
