The leaders of booming cognitive computing company Digital Reasoning Systems plan to add about 190 jobs to their Franklin headquarters.

Digital Reasoning, which was launched in 2000 to help national intelligence agencies dig through mountains of data and has since expanded into the finance and health care sectors, has set up shop on the 50,000-square-foot top floor of the Healthways headquarters on Cool Springs Boulevard. The company plans to spend $861,500 to finish out that space and hire nearly 200 people — a big number given that the company last summer employed about 100.

“We are proud of our new home here in Franklin, which provides a way forward for our continued growth and expansion,” CEO of Digital Reasoning Tim Estes said. “We greatly appreciate the help we received from the community, especially from the teams at the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development and Honour Inc., and are thrilled to be co-located with a superb company like Healthways whose culture is consistent with our own values.”

Estes and his team recently closed a $40 million fundraising round that added Lemhi Ventures to an investor roster that also includes HCA, Goldman Sachs and Nasdaq.
