What are the benefits of holding a Chamber ribbon cutting?
By hosting a ribbon cutting, you can:
- Introduce the public and Chamber members to your business
- Announce your ribbon cutting on the Chamber’s website calendar
- Familiarize the public and Chamber members with your product/services
- Familiarize the public and Chamber members with your physical location
- Build your customer base
- Generate possible leads and sales from attendees
- And much, much more!
What is the Chamber’s role in my ribbon cutting?
Once your ribbon cutting is scheduled and paid for, the Chamber will include your ribbon cutting announcement in two weekly newsletters prior to your event. Information about your Chamber ribbon cutting also will be posted on the Chamber’s event calendar for the public and all members to view. An additional calendar invite will be sent to our Ambassador team, reminding them of your ribbon cutting. The Chamber will also provide your ribbon.
How do I get started?
First, you must be a new or current Chamber member in good standing, which includes up-to-date payment of dues, for the Chamber to endorse and help coordinate your ribbon cutting.
Second, you will need to contact the Chamber to check date availability. Ribbon cuttings are limited to three per week, and dates fill up very quickly. So don’t wait — get your ribbon cutting on the schedule as soon as possible.
Ribbon cuttings are held for all types of businesses, from small shops to large corporations, as well as for important community and governmental events. Chamber staff will participate along with those you choose to invite.
