Steve Janicak, Healthcare Division President, Tivity Health, said that the company is thrilled to partner with Mercy once again by supporting the Franklin Classic.
“The Franklin Classic is a family-friendly event that promotes fitness for all ages, from young children to older adults.” Janicak said. “Many of our SilverSneakers members enjoy participating in the race year after year, especially since the race supports the great work that Mercy is doing to provide affordable and accessible healthcare to all. Our mission is to empower and engage adults to live their best healthy lives through nutrition, fitness and social connection. Mercy’s Franklin Classic is an ideal opportunity that helps us reach this goal”
“Mercy couldn’t be more excited to partner with SilverSneakers once again for this event that touches so many lives in the Franklin community,” said Cindy Siler, CEO of Mercy Community Healthcare. “Both organizations have a strong respect for each other’s mission, and it’s only fitting that we join together to celebrate health, wellness and community.”

About Mercy Community Healthcare
Mercy Community Healthcare was founded in 1999 as Mercy Children’s Clinic with a mission to reflect the love and compassion of Jesus Christ by providing excellent healthcare to ALL and support to their families. The nonprofit clinic added mental health and social services to its integrated care program in 2006 and expanded to a new facility at Williamson Square on Murfreesboro Road in 2009. Mercy was awarded a grant from the United States Department of Health and Human Services designating it as a Federally Qualified Health Center in June 2012.
As a result of this, Mercy began seeing adult patients, and Mercy Children’t Clinic transitioned to Mercy Community Healthcare. With this name, Mercy Community Healthcare seeks to reflect its mission of providing quality, experienced care to everyone – adults, children, insured and uninsured, throughout Middle Tennessee.
Mercy has locations in Franklin and Lewisburg, Tenn. For more information about the programs and services of Mercy Community Healthcare, please visit MercyTN.org.
