Senior veterans appreciation day to be hosted by Cloverland Park Senior Living
New assisted living and memory care community will provide veterans age 65+ appointments to meet with Veterans Services Officers regarding their eligibility for VA pension benefits
To honor World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War Veterans, Cloverland Park Senior Living will sponsor Senior Veterans Appreciation Day on Thursday, Nov. 12, in the Puffy Muffin Bakery and Restaurant private dining room. Veterans age 65 and up and their family members may request an appointment time between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm to meet with a Veterans Services Officer who can help determine whether they may be eligible for U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs pension benefits. VA pension benefits may be used to help pay for assisted living or home care. Veterans and their family members will meet privately in one-on-one appointments with a Veterans Service Officer. Appointments may be scheduled by calling 615-819-5150.
Attendee health and safety is a priority for Cloverland Park Senior Living. Staff and attendees will undergo temperature checks, answer screening questions, wear masks, have meeting areas cleaned between appointments, and practice social distancing. Telephone appointments are available for senior Veterans who prefer to remain at home.
