Rebecca Baskin, M.D. and Cary Ralph, RN, certified breast health navigator, two of the most highly sought after caregivers for breast health and breast cancer, will be speaking at a free luncheon event Friday October 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Williamson Medical Center.

Baskin and Ralph will highlight new technology, such as 3-D mammography, and how t is helping detect breast cancer earlier than ever before. They will also address multiple myths surrounding breast health. For example, do you know how mnay glasses of wine per week are safe versus putting you at higher risk of breast cancer? Come find out.

It’s also important for women to  hear that a breast cancer diagnosis doesn’t always come with a death sentence attached to it. Many times a mammogram free of anything suspicious can give a woman peace of mind. It isn’t always bad news.

Ralph’s job is to escort women through breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. If you aren’t familiar with a breast health navigator, this is a luncheon you won’t want to miss.

This HealthyU education seminar will also highlight our Breast Health Center and the technology available at our imagining center, and how the two work together seamlessly to provide rapid results and a swift plan of action for our patients.

The event is free and open to the public, but will fill up, so please RSVP by calling 615-435-6780 or emailing events@wmed.org to save your spot. Tell a friend about this event and bring your questions. For more information on this event or the Breast Health Center, go to www.williamsonmedicalcenter.org
