New Southwest Airlines nonstop flights from Nashville

Southwest Airlines announcement at Nashville International Airport Thursday, May 18, 2017 in Nashville, TN.

On May 18, business and civic leaders gathered at Nashville International Airport as Southwest Airlines celebrated additional investment and continued commitment to Middle Tennessee with the announcement of new nonstop service and the milestone of operating 100 daily flights from Nashville starting this June. Southwest announced twice daily service to Milwaukee that will begin on November 5, 2017, and Saturday only service to Cancun that will begin on November 11, 2017.

“Our position as hometown carrier in Nashville with more than a 100 flights a day this summer makes this weekly shortcut to Cancun a natural addition for our loyal Customers to hit another popular beach destination,” said Dave Harvey, who oversees International Planning as Southwest Airlines’ Managing Director of Business Development.

“At the same time, we’re adding twice daily service to Milwaukee to help connect both business communities, all as part of a larger effort to bring meaningful service to Customers who have made us America’s largest carrier.”

Williamson, Inc. was excited to celebrate the new service announcement with Southwest.
