Battle of Franklin Trust event on Sept. 28 pays tribute to county’s unique history
The Battle of Franklin Trust will host the eighth annual Bootlegger’s Bash beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 28 at Carnton. To celebrate Williamson County’s long history of bootlegging, the event will play host to many local distillers, a traditional Southern dinner and live music from Chad Street Band.
“Bootleggers Bash is a great Southern-styled event,” said Savannah Weaver, event coordinator at The Battle of Franklin Trust. “Guests can expect to enjoy a casual evening of food and drink while dancing to a live band.”
The traditional Southern evening will feature a whole hog roast and tastings from local distilleries such as H. Clark Distillery, Leiper’s Fork Distillery, Corsair Artisans, Tenn South, Prichard’s Distillery and Stillhouse Spirits Co. Community c0-chairs for this event are long-time Trust supporters Leigh Bawcom, Bess and Tim Kearns.
This year’s event also offers a tasting-only ticket for those who are unable to stay for dinner. All proceeds from this ticketed event are donated to the Battle of Franklin Trust and its efforts to preserve the springhouse at Carnton.
Tickets are required and must be purchased in advance online at www.boft.org. Tasting tickets are $35 per person, which includes all tastings from local distillers. VIP tickets can be purchased for $65 per person or $100 per couple; these include tastings, dinner and live entertainment. Bootlegger’s Bash is a strictly 21 and up event. Sponsors for Bootlegger’s Bash include Auto-Owners Insurance, International Insurance Brokerage, LLC, Centre of Holistic & Biological Dentistry, Southern Events Rental Company, Bright Event Productions, Nashville Tent & Awning and Mantra Artisan Ales.
