Columbia State to offer courses in Microsoft Excel and Life Support in December

 

Microsoft Excel Basic

  • Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.* on the Williamson Campus
  • Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on the Columbia Campus

In this introductory course to Microsoft Excel 2013, participants will explore basic Excel functions. After successful completion of this session, participants can expect to be able to edit, format, and use formulas in existing worksheets as well as to create new worksheets from a template r from scratch. Participants will also work with graphics, charts and links, to create professional documents with ease.

Course cost: $149 (Group rates available)

*Course length is 30 minutes longer in Franklin because a longer lunch period is needed to navigate traffic.

Basic Life Support Class is back

  • Monday, December 19, 2016 from 4 – 9 p.m. on the Columbia Campus

The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The individual will complete the cognitive and skill evaluation in accordance with the curriculum of the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers. It is also a great class for anyone who wants to learn CPR and basic life support skills for emergency situations. Students will work with manikins to practice and perfect skills.
