The Franklin eatery reveals new items, including winner of burger contest
- Marshall Hospitality’s downtown Franklin concept Americana Taphouse has announced the release of its fall menu, available beginning on Sept. 2, 2020.
The Americano Sandwich, Chicken Pot Pie Soup and Seasonal Vegetable Pasta, plus pub-style snacks such as Pork & Rind Nachos and a Dip Trio with black bean, beer cheese and collard green dips are among the items making their debut. Americana’s new beer cheese is made with Puckett’s Brew, the namesake Helles-style lager of its sister concept.
Border Town, the “Build a Burger” contest winner loaded with pepper jack cheese, bacon, fresh jalapeños and guacamole, is introduced along with an assortment of new burgers and sandwiches. The burgers have been revamped with a ground beef house blend, new bun and signature special sauce.
A new lineup of ice cream-forward desserts rounds out the menu. Mouthwatering options include Fried Nana Puddin’ made with Hattie Jane’s Creamery ice cream, caramel sauce and toasted meringue and The Hat Trick layered with chocolate chip cookie, brownie, cheesecake and ice cream. The Cornbread Sammy turns Yankee cornbread into a savory bacon-whipped ice cream sandwich.
The menu’s development was helmed by Stephen Kerr, culinary director for A. Marshall Hospitality; Jesse Quatro, regional chef for A. Marshall Hospitality; and Paul Brantley, executive chef at Americana. Kerr recently joined the company to lead culinary operations for all locations, including Puckett’s, Scout’s Pub and Deacon’s New South. Quatro continues to lead as executive chef at Scout’s while working closely with the teams at Americana and Deacon’s in his new position.
Americana focuses on sourcing from local purveyors as much as possible, and its seasonally changing menu with Southern reinventions of American classics is complemented by 24 rotating craft beers on tap. Guests of all ages can enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere; two spacious, dog-friendly patio areas and a variety of outdoor games.
