Hytch challenges community to match its first major donation to GoodWill of Middle Tennessee

Middle Tennessee commuters can now help eliminate mobility problems faced by an entry-level workforce thanks to Hytch, LLC, a Nashville-based social impact technology company, that today presented its first major donation of $5,000 to Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee during Goodwill’s 2018 Impact Luncheon.

The donation from Hytch will continue to fund cash rewards as a part of Goodwill’s workforce mobility initiatives. The cash rewards are given to Goodwill employees who log their commutes in the Hytch Rewards app and are in place to offset the cost and transportation barriers related to commuting to work.

The latest update of the rewards platform allows over 9,000 Hytch users to donate their earned cash rewards to the non-profit’s mobility initiatives directly in the app.

“Goodwill’s mission is changing lives through education, training and employment. Each year, we provide assistance to thousands of people with disabilities and other barriers to employment,” said Matthew Bourlakas, President and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee. “A lack of transportation is frequently among those barriers. Through this donation, by rewarding shared rides and encouraging donations to Goodwill, Hytch is making it easier for people to find and keep jobs.”

“Transportation is a major challenge confronting the American workforce today,” said Mark Cleveland, co-founder and CEO of Hytch. “That’s why we are committed to partnering with Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee to provide solutions for mobility and urge our Tennessee community to support fellow commuters and become part of the solution.”

Since its February 2018 launch, Hytch has provided a socially conscious solution to traffic congestion by incentivizing citizens to share rides using personal vehicles and public transit for daily commutes and other travel.
