President & CEO, Saint Thomas Health
Tim Adams joined Ascension as President/CEO of Saint Thomas Health and Ministry Market Executive, Ascension Tennessee in January 2018. Tim presides over Saint Thomas Health’s nine inpatient facilities in Middle Tennessee in addition to a network of physician practices, joint ventures and community partnerships.
Tim previously served as Tenet Healthcare’s Texas Region Chief Executive Officer. At Tenet, Tim led one of the company’s largest regions, with 26 hospitals and net operating revenues of approximately $4 billion. Tim previously led the company’s integration and operations team, during which he oversaw the integration of new hospital acquisitions as well as several enterprise-wide functions including business development, marketing, data analytics and the company’s post-acute service lines.
Tim earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and his Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at El Paso.
CFO, Williamson Medical Center
Paul Bolin has been the Chief Financial Officer of Williamson Medical Center since August 2012. Mr. Bolin joined WMC in 1994 and served as its Assistant Chief Financial Officer for more than five years. His background in health care financial management and his knowledge of the industry’s changing landscape have helped WMC meet state and federal guidelines and remain a fiscally responsible medical center for the citizens of Williamson County. He is a fellow with the Healthcare Financial Management Association and serves on HFMA’s National Advisory Council. Paul earned his Accounting degree from Austin Peay State University, and his Master of Business Administration degree from Belmont University.
Laura Beth Brown
Vice President, Vanderbilt Health Services
Laura Beth Brown is Vice President of Vanderbilt Health Services and President of Vanderbilt Home Health Care Services, located in Nashville, Tenn. She serves as Adjunct Faculty at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. In her role as Vice President of Vanderbilt Health Services, Laura Beth is responsible for the day to day operations and oversight of servicing an average daily census of 500 patients and over 250 employees.
Laura Beth is the immediate past President of the Tennessee Nurses Association. In this capacity, her efforts focused on public policy to expand access to quality care for all Tennesseans and protect the profession of nursing. Laura Beth serves in various professional capacities in the community; currently, she serves on the Board of Directors of Alive Hospice and is Chair of the Quality and Compliance committee. She is a member of the Tennessee Nurses Association Government Affairs Committee and Committee on Nursing Practice. Laura Beth is a Board member of the Nashville Healthcare Council’s Leadership Health Care. She is an expert member on the International Council on Nursing Bank of Experts in Home Care, Board of Directors for the Tennessee Hospital Association Home Care Alliance, and is a member of the THA Government Affairs Committee.
She has received numerous honors and awards in nursing and healthcare including the Outstanding Member Award for the Tennessee Nurses Association, TNA Political Nurse of the year, and most recently she was recognized by the Nashville Medical News as one of Middle Tennessee’s “well known and behind the scenes leader who is helping to drive local innovation and shaping the next iteration of the healthcare industry.” Laura Beth currently serves as Co-Chair of the Nursing Administrative Board for Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
President, Nashville Health Care Council
Hayley Hovious is the president of the Nashville Health Care Council. Prior to her appointment as president, Hovious served as the executive director of the Council Fellows, an initiative which seeks to engage, educate and inspire senior executives in health care.
Prior to joining the Council staff, Hovious served as trade director at the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development where she developed and managed the states export program. She worked as a marketing manager for software startup Consensus Point, and before that as a brand manager at E.J.Gallo Winery in Modesto, Calif. A Nashville native, Hovious is a cum laude graduate of Smith College and has an M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management.
She was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to serve on the Tennessee District Export Council, is a member of the Downtown Nashville Rotary and is on the board of Sister Cities of Nashville.

As the leader of Sharecare’s Provider Business unit, Paine oversees business development, strategic planning and client services initiatives across all Provider partners at Sharecare. Paine has deep digital healthcare experience, having held senior digital strategy positions with leading advertising agencies and health care services companies over the last 15+ years.
Paine’s digital experience goes all the way back to 1995, when he helped launch one of the first Internet Service providers in Australia. Prior to joining Sharecare, Paine spent seven years in Digital Strategy and Account Management roles for the CDM Group, the largest full service healthcare advertising agency in the USA. During that time, he led the digital brand strategy for Pfizer’s primary care portfolio, including Viagra and Lipitor.
As an experienced digital marketer, Paine maintains a strong focus on aligning the Sharecare platform to client brand strategy and delivering positive ROI across all programs.

Brent Turner joined Acadia in February 2011 and served as a Co-President of the Company from that time until April 2012 when he was named President. Previously, Mr. Turner served as the Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration of PSI from August 2005 to November 2010 and as the Vice President, Treasurer and Investor Relations of PSI from February 2003 to August 2005. From late 2008 through 2010, Mr. Turner also served as a Division President of PSI overseeing facilities in Texas, Illinois and Minnesota. From 1996 until January 2001, Mr. Turner was employed by Corrections Corporation of America, a private prison operator, serving as Treasurer from 1998 to 2001. Mr. Turner serves on the board of directors of LHC Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: LHCG), Surgery Partners, Inc. (NASDAQ: SRGY), and the National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems (NAPHS) where he currently serves as Chairman of NAPHS for 2018 and also served as NAPHS’s Chairman in 2009.
